Common Creatives tells the story of Leonard Shaw, a teacher at Kepiski Community College, who is handed the reigns of a failing theatre department. Captured on film by a student filmmaker, this mockumentary shows Leonards struggle to produce a high quality musical with absolutely no budget…and even less talent.

Starring in the film is Monty Python alum, Kim Howard Johnson, as the role of Lenny, who also worked as a script editor. He was the first cast member to join the project, and put his improv skills to good use.

Filling out the rest of this ensemble cast are community members Kevin J. Alleman, Serena Rogers, Trisha Bagby, Isaac Alvarado, Bob Philip, and Roger Amm.

Common Creatives was released at the beginning of 2024, with a set of local screenings.
